Getting Started
If you are interested in participating in KHS Pioneer Athletics for the 2025-2026 school year, please read below for important information.
1. Privit Website
The athletic office uses an automated paperless document collection source called Privit. For more information about Privit you can go to the Privit online instructions page on this website.
2. Physical Packet
If a student intends to play sports for the Kirkwood Pioneers, they must have a valid physical/or MSHSAA Medical Eligibility Form uploaded to Privit prior to participation.
If your physical is dated on or after July 1, 2024, then it will be good through the 2025-2026 school year as well. It will expire on June 30, 2026. The end of the Fiscal year for the athletic department is June 30th of every year as it relates to physicals. NOTE: Some doctors office policies require yearly physicals.
- Physical forms can be found in the forms section of the athletics website or picked up on the wall outside the athletic office. We prefer for you to only use our forms.
3. Insurance Requirements
All athletes MUST have basic accident (medical) insurance coverage to participate in athletics. This information is to be provided on the physical packet. If you do not have medical coverage, please visit the medical options section of the athletic website.
4. PRIVIT Clearance
Once an athletes' Private profile is up to date, you will be cleared on the Privit website by the athletic office. Without this clearance, an athlete will NOT be able to participate.
Privit Profile must be completed by the Friday before the season begins in order for the athlete to be cleared for the first practice of the season!
5. SWAY Medical
Any incoming Freshman, a student new to KHS, or who did not test last year and plans on participating in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, girls lacrosse, soccer, softball, volleyball, or wrestling will be contacted by the trainer to complete their testing online.
6. Summer Camp and Summer Workouts
Summer camp information can be found at www.kirkwoodcamps.com. In addition to camps, many sports teams have workouts or conditioning over the summer. Please contact the head coach of the sport your athlete may be interested in for dates, times, and locations. Be sure to follow your team on Twitter! Coaches will tweet information often--keeping you most up to date!
