1998
Avis Evans finished second in state in the 100m dash in 1997 and finished fifth in the 200m dash. In 1998, she was fourth in the 100 and third in the 200m.
2017
Hava Turner 200m dash record holder (tie) 2017. Hava finished 4th in the State in the 100m dash and was a member of the 4x200 State Championship relay. Kirkwood's first sprint relay, which received a first place medal at the State meet. Kirkwood Girl's team finished 2nd overall in the State Championships. Hava finished 8th in the 200m at the State meet and also was a member of the 4x400 relay team that finished 2nd in State that same year.

Genesis Dixon is a 2x State finalist in the 100m hurdles and the long jump. Genesis is the current school record holder in the 100m hurdles and the 2022 MSHSAA State Champion with a time of 13.57.
1983
Alvin Miller Record Holder 100m dash 10.5, 200m dash 21.3, 110m hurdles 13.5 (1983) Regarded as the best athlete in school history, Alvin Miller, a 1983 KHS graduate, earned four varsity letters in basketball, three in football and two in track and field. As a member of the 1983 Kirkwood Track and Field State Championship Team, he captured four individual track and field state championships in 1983, including the 100 Meter, 110 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, and 200 Meter. He was named a National High School Track and Field All-American in 1983 and Hertz No. 1 Performing Athlete of Missouri in 1983. Miller still holds the Kirkwood High School Track records in the 100 Meters, 200 Meters and 110 High Hurdles.
