We believe as a coaching staff that developing our athletes mentally is just as important as developing them physically. We employ several strategies to engage our athletes mentally that will help them as they compete, as well as give them a tool to use after Track & Field is completed.  These stages of our mental training program involve the following:

  • Relaxation
  • Affirmations
  • Mental Recall
  • Mental Rehearsal
  • Goal-setting can improve an athlete's performance by 16%.
